    This video was fascinating to me. I instantly wanted to go to pinterest and start creating my “new audience member.” I think this method has a lot of advantages. I hear a lot of people complaining about audiences being small, but no one seems to know what to do about it. I hear a lot of references to “better PR,” without anything about how to make that PR better. By creating a specific target–one individual we want to convince to attend our performance–we have given ourselves a goal and a vision. It makes it a lot easier to craft new or different advertising and programming when we know who we are trying to attract, instead of simply doing more of the same and overbothering those audience members we already have.
