The Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble presents not one, but two world premieres! The first, “Nullipara,” by composer D.J. Sparr and librettist Caitlin Vincent, dramatizes the journey of a woman struggling to conceive a child. Then, Ivette Herryman’s “Memorial” explores the universal human need to be remembered, taking inspiration from Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas.”
21CM Takeaway: A PNME concert is never just a concert: This show also features work by local Pittsburgh artists Linda Price-Sneddon and Val M. Cox, with curation by Jeffrey Jarzynka.
