Matthew Aucoin, Zack Winokur and Jennifer Chen have created a new opera company: AMOC, or the American Modern Opera Company, an incubator for collaborations between singers, instrumentalists, composers and dancers. This festival serves as the unveiling of the ensemble-slash-incubator, and will feature performances meant to challenge and stimulate viewers’ understanding of musical theater.
